Typical Scenarios in UAE & Gulf Projects
A 300 m² flat villa roof with a two-layer torch-on modified bitumen system. The calculator gives 2 layers × 300 m² = 600 m², plus 10% for laps = 660 m² of membrane, 90 L of primer at 0.3 L/m², and 88 m of joint tape for 80 m of parapet upstands and details (10% extra).
A 50 m × 50 m basement (2,500 m² raft) with 3 m high perimeter walls (600 m²), 3,100 m² in total. With a two-coat cementitious coating at 1.5 kg/m² per coat, the calculator gives 3,100 × 1.5 × 2 = 9,300 kg of coating (no primer for this type) and 220 m of joint tape for 200 m of construction joints. Waterstops are specified separately.
