Arkan Daily Site Logs Capabilities
Manpower
Log trade, company, shift, headcount, working and overtime hours, and link entries to a task, activity or an area, building, floor and zone. Man-hours are calculated for you.
Equipment
Record equipment type, units, hours operated and idle, and condition: Operational, Idle or Down.
Materials
Log material received, with supplier, delivery note and storage location, or material used, against a task, activity and area.
Safety
Report incidents, near misses and observations with severity from Low to Critical, stop-work times, injuries, immediate action and a follow-up owner.
Visitors
Record visitors with company, purpose, time in and out, escort, badge number, visit category and result.
Weather
Live weather and temperature for the site on the overview, from Open-Meteo using the project's coordinates, and the recorded weather stored on each log.

Daily Site Logs: Common Questions
What does a daily site log record?
Five entry types: manpower (trade, company, shift, headcount, working and overtime hours), equipment (hours operated, idle hours, condition), materials received or used, safety (incidents, observations and near misses with severity), and visitors (company, purpose, time in and out). Entries can be tied to an area, building, floor, zone or activity, and each log shows who logged it.
Do I have to enter the weather?
No. Weather is fetched automatically from Open-Meteo using the project's coordinates, and the weather at the time the log was created is stored with that day's log.
Can a log be changed after it is submitted?
Entries can be added, changed or deleted while the log is a draft. Once it is submitted, no further entries can be added, and the log moves to Approved or Rejected. A rejected log may need an administrator to return it to draft.
Can I attach photos and documents?
Yes. Files of up to 10 MB each can be attached to a day's log, and you can raise an RFI from the log when something on site needs clarification.
RFI managementWill daily logs support a delay or extension of time claim?
They give you dated records of manpower, equipment, materials, safety, visitors and weather, with who logged them, which is the kind of contemporaneous record delay reviews rely on. Whether a record supports a claim depends on your contract, its notice requirements and the other evidence, so check with your contract administrator.
